Bill Smith, the owner of the Photosmiths began his career as a professional photographer in 1980. Bill is a graduate of Miami University with a bachelor's degree in education and photography. He taught school for eight years in Virginia Beach before his passion led him to open his first studio in 1982. He moved to the Charlottesville area in 1983 and established the Photosmiths Studio in 1986. Bill is a member of the Professional Photographers Association and his work has been recognized by Wedding Photographers International.

Bill knows that every portrait he creates will become a part of your family's history. Each creation requires careful planning and he takes that responsibility very seriously. His greatest desire is for the image to reflect the person or persons in the portrait!

Lindsey Knight is a graduate of Piedmont Virginia Community College. She has been a professional Photographer for 10 years. Her career started in the photofinishing industry. Lindsey specializes in Bridal Photography and Children's Portraits. She loves the process of getting to know clients and she uses that bond to express emotion through their portraits.

Sarah is a graduate of Piedmont Virginia Community College. She also is a licensed Cosmetologist. Sarah often does Hair and makeup for Senior Portraits and for Brides. She creates beautiful images though her photography, and her background and training started with her Father Bill at Twelve years old as a wedding assistant.

Sarah has photographed many weddings on her own and brides always remark about her great work and wonderful personality.

Billy is a junior at William Monroe High School, and like his siblings has grown up in the studio. He loves to assist at Weddings and often captures remarkable images of the wedding day. Billy specializes in the behind the scenes activities, and captures the wedding day in a documentary style.
